Different types of hot-rolled steel plate are suitable for specific applications due to their varying performance characteristics:

1. Construction and Infrastructure

- High-rise building frames: Use Q345B (thickness 8-40mm), with a yield strength ≥ 345 MPa and excellent seismic performance.

- Bridge steel: For example, Q420qE, which offers excellent weather resistance and an impact energy ≥ 47J at -40°C (GB/T 714-2015 standard).

2. Automotive Manufacturing

- Commercial vehicle beams: 590 MPa-grade hot-rolled plate (thickness 2.5-6.0mm), capable of withstanding loads exceeding 10 tons.

- Wheel steel: 380CL series, with a fatigue life exceeding 1 million cycles (China FAW Technical Report).

3. Machinery and Energy

- Construction machinery: Wear-resistant steel NM360-HB, with a hardness of 360 HBW, is used for bucket blades.

- Wind turbine tower: S355NL steel plate, with a thickness of up to 80mm, meeting the low-temperature toughness requirements of -50℃.
