Wear Resistance
Block-on-Ring Wear Test
The wear resistance of BHNW400 and Q345B steel plates was tested and compared using the ASTM G77-05 block-on-ring test method. The grinding ring pair was made of GCr15 with a hardness of approximately HRC60. The wear test results are shown in Table 2, and the wear surface morphology is shown in Figure 3. The block-on-ring test results show that BHNW400 exhibits approximately 30 times the wear resistance of Q345B.
