Q: What strength and thickness of materials do customers typically use?

A: Currently, the main products used are NM400 and NM450, with a yield strength of 1200-1300MPa and a thickness of 4-12mm. 5mm and 6mm are most commonly used in the compactor and hopper body.

Q: How much can the service life of the equipment be increased by using wear-resistant steel?

A: If wear-resistant steel replaces Q355, and the thickness is not reduced, and corrosion is not involved, the service life can generally be 3-5 times that of the original design.

Q: Is wear-resistant steel easy to bend?

A: Are there any special requirements for processing and welding? Wear-resistant steel has high strength but also significant springback after bending. Therefore, a large-tonnage bending machine is generally required. The bending radius should ideally be at least four times the plate thickness. The welding temperature must be above 0 degrees Celsius, and 50-6 MIG welding wire can be used.
